Knitting with Provenance - a lovely knit event with Luna Gallery knitted merino wool blankets

Saturday July 16, I had the honour of meeting amazing women – who live & breathe their craft, their vision – their passion for provenance.
The event was held in Daylesford at the most beautiful home & studio of Natasha Morgan – a landscape artist & superb cook – in Spargo Creek.
Hosted by Lara @lovewalkeatsea who has the most enlightening “passion for provenance” & has been travelling around Australia championing local produce & provenance.
And the theme of the day – knitting – knitting with provenance.
The beautiful passion & persona of Megan Elizabeth dreamt up this vision of sharing her wool; a knitting experience, new patterns designed by Rhi Owens, local produce prepared & served throughout the afternoon by Natasha, with wonderful knitters from beginner to advanced sharing stories, sharing their passion for good wool, in a superb setting near Daylesford.
And with hand crafted wooden knitting needles by the talented wood turner Jesse Bree @jessebree, which we were humbled to take home, along with the handmade woolly flowers using SCOUT wool by Fleur Lyon @thefolkmaker – a botanical Fibre Artist – we were truly spoilt.

What an honour it was to be a part of this KNIT HEAVEN. I was invited along to bring some of our Luna Knit blankets to be on display … and to keep we knitters warm.

Thank you to all for such an amazing experience … and for being so inspiring & true to your cause. xx
